Plant for Planet

The first action, entering into the program of the championships became the action, Plant for Planet, lead by participants and organizers.

One of the main aspects of activity of the International association, which is the official partner of UNESCO, - ecological, on preservation of the environment. Here and for the first days of carrying out of the belt wrestling world championships have planned landing 450 trees within the limits of International project UNEP " Plant for Planet " under home nursing of prince Albert II of Monaco. The purpose of this program - to plant for 2007- billion trees.




The new avenue which has received the name « Avenue of Friendship of People » has appeared before an old Palace of sports, on street Zorge.

58 trees - on number of the countries declared on the world championship have originally been planted. During next day’s other trees were planted, and to look after "newborn" square pupils of grammar school N47 of Ufa have expressed desire.


Young men and girls with tablets of the countries-participants of the championships have settled down everyone at the "" tree. It is necessary to note, that the tree of Russia which minister of sports Vladimir Samorodov and the president of the International association – Rif Gaynanov have planted is registered number one. The seventh happy number has got to Bashkortostan.





UNEP billion tree campaign was supported by participants of scientifically-practical conference, 6th belt wrestling world championships, guests and children from local schools.





This action, according to Samorodov, the beautiful decision of UNESCO to unite nations of the world by means of sports, and it will leave a bright trace both in the annals of the Bashkir sports, and in world history.
With a salutatory word the expert on educational programs in sphere of physical culture and sports of UNESCO Marsellin Dalli which has noted, that the decision on creation of square - an opportunity to unite sports and other kinds of human activity has acted also.




After that, with shovels in hands, Gaynanov, Dally and other guests, and also participants of the world championships, have made the first stroke in creation of square of friendship, with finishing speech the assistant to the chairmen of administration the city of Ufa, Alexey Oshchepkov has acted.




It also has thanked everyone who has brought the mite in a bookmark of square, in particular, administration of October area of Ufa and Ufa administration given tree's.
